Abstrak
Penggajian atau pengelolaan gaji merupakan suatu proses tindakan balas jasa suatu organisasi kepada pegawai sebagai seorang yang memberikan sumbangan dalam tercapainya tujuan organisasi. Lamanya proses pembuatan slip gaji dan laporan dapat menghambat proses penggajian pegawai. Tujuan penelitian yaitu membangun sistem informasi penggajian yang berguna untuk membantu aktivitas bisnis kepegawaian perguruan tinggi dengan studi kasus di Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi Rational Unified Process dengan fase inception, elaboration, dan construction. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rancangan-rancangan sistem berupa diagram rancangan sistem dan program penggajian. Penelitian ini dibatasi sampai tahap construction pada metodolodi rekayasa perangkat lunak dan penggujian menggunakan metode blackbox testing dengan salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta di Kabupaten Garut sebagai sample pengambilan data. Sistem informasi penggajian ini dapat memudahkan dalam pengelolaan penggajian di perguruan tinggi dan sistem ini dapat dipakai di semua perguruan tinggi manapun dengan mengganti profil dari organisasi di sistem.
